New United States Embassy, Havana Cuba, 1953

1953 - the year I was born. This photo shows my father, a U.S. Information Service Public Affairs Officer, in front of the brand-new U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba.  As we know, that didn't work out too well, but after many years, it's about to be a U.S. Embassy again. Next - perhaps we'll end the embargo.
